The Energy of Gold...

Most people experience the energy of gold as an active energy.
This deceivingly simple golden pendant with a peridot stone has a powerful energy!

Golden pendant with peridot

Peridot allows you to observe your environment from the heart. The triangle that is cut out under the stone represents the balance of mind, body & spirit.
The combination of the peridot stone, the golden pendant, and the triangle create an energy that not only will help you play an active role in your environment, but also allows you a sense of physical wellbeing.

The energy of this pendant says: “Love yourself and view the world around you from your heart!”

The Designs

The designs of a piece of Mystical Jewelry can be very simple ~ or they can purposely bring a number of specific energies into the piece in order to create one, more complex energy. The ultimate energy of a more complex piece of Mystical Jewelry is not necessarily greater than that of a more simple design ~ the difference lies in how the ultimate energy has been built...

Silver pendant with tourmaline and 'chrysocolla-in-quartz'

The stones in this design are a pink tourmaline and a ‘chrysocolla-in-quartz’ ~ a very special combination! The tourmaline helps to stay grounded in your own energy, which is enhanced through its triangular shape signifying the balance of ‘mind, body & spirit’. The ‘chrysocolla-in-quartz’ brings through its shape a structured energy to the piece, that will help express your Self.
The circle above the tourmaline represents Divine Perfection, while the symbols that are cut out underneath the stones bring ancient wisdom and creativity to the pendant. The small spheres in between the stones balance polarities. And finally, the upward facing crescent moon permits the person wearing the pendant to receive and work with its ultimate energy.

To put all of this into one sentence...
The energy of this pendant will help you to express your Wise Self in a creative, balanced manner.

Cats-eye-stones

A stone is a cats-eye-stone when it displays a sharp, vertical, reflecting line when it is held in the light. There are many stones that have this cats-eye effect ~ and all these stones refer from an energy perspective to ‘seeing’.

The apatite in this pendant is a deep green stone that shows a beautiful, sharp cats-eye. The energy of this stone is ‘seeing from the heart’.

This apatite cats-eye has been mounted in a golden setting which is connected with the silver teardrop shape to the golden circle above it. The shape that is cut out underneath the stone is both an equal armed cross as well as a stylized diamond.

Silver and golden pendant with a cats-eye apatite

The pendant then has an energy that lets us see, from the Highest perfection, the world through our hearts in such a manner that our balance and creativity are nurtured and enhanced.

Sunstone, and the vitality of ourselves...

Sunstone is an orange stone with ‘colored sparks’ that are sometimes called ‘confetti’ ~ and that are the fire of the stone ~ the rays of the sun!

In this pin a teardrop-shaped sunstone has been set. The teardrop shape is built from a circle with on top of that a triangle. This means that this stone ties the energy of perfection to the balance of ‘mind, body and spirit’ ~ and to the sun that also represents our own vitality. The golden accents, the circle and the facing up arcs on either side of the stone, not only emphasize the energy of perfection, they give this energy wings as well as hinting at the intuitive force of the moon.

The focus to use this energy is the diamond shape that is cut out underneath the stone, which is the symbol for creativity.

This means that this pin helps to give your vitality, the sun in you, wings ~ and to express this in a creative manner!

A pendant that has the same kind of stone, doesn’t necessarily have the same energy

The pendant below has also a rainbow moonstone in it, yet it energy is totally different.
The energy of a piece of jewelry is built not just from the energy of the stone, but also from the energy of the metal, the shape of the piece and the symbols that are used.

The ultimate energy of a pendant is always more than the sum of its totals!

The teardrop shape is a combination-shape where a circle and a triangle have been put together. Therefore it has the energy of both these shapes: the perfection of the circle, as well as the balance of mind, body and spirit of the triangle.
Underneath the stone a diamond and a crescent moon shape have been cut out. As the crescent moon is faced upward, it depicts being receptive to what is above, in this case being receptive to the diamond representing creativity.
The beaded rim of the pendant shows all creative possibilities...

This pendant then helps to receive creative input from ‘above’ ~ whether that is the Higher Self, or the Creative Force itself ~ and to express that in a perfectly balanced manner.

The energy of the star

Where the symbolic meaning of a star is dictated by the number of points or ‘rays’ the star has, does the star, being the ‘heavenly body’ it is, also a more general energy,

There are, when looking at the energies of the ‘heavenly bodies’ three of those that also have a symbolic meaning: the sun, the moon, and the star. The sun represents the energy of vitality, the moon stands for the energy of intuition. The energy of the star is like a combination of the energies of the sun and the moon. Not as much as adding the energies to each other, it is more like the point of balance between the energies of the sun and the moon...

As such, the star gives us an energy that is not totally vital, physical and directed outside of ourselves, but neither is it all the way sensory, intuitive and directed inside of ourselves.
This means that the energy of the star can keep us balanced. It can prevent us form being totally directed outside of ourselves, or all the way locked inside of our inner world...

Silver pendant with golden detail with rainbow-moonstone

In a piece of jewelry I sometimes use stars in the balancing manner ~ like in the pendant on the pictures. Underneath the rainbow-moonstone stone I have cut out three stars; a five-pointed star, a six-pointed star, and a seven-pointed star. The shape of the pendant creates an energy of a portal, giving the pendant an energy of a portal to the stars. The three golden droplets on the bottom of the ‘portal’ help to bring the balance found with the stars back into the earth plane, back to our physical day-to-day lives.

Not all stars are the same

This is also true for the symbolic perspective on the stars.

For starters, symbolically there is a vast difference between the stars and the sun. Although our sun is a star, its energy specifically represents our vital force.

The symbolic energy of the stars depends on the number of rays, or points, it has. A five-pointed star represents the senses; a seven-pointed star signifies changes; while a twelf-pointed star announces a ‘completeness’ of sorts.

The six-pointed star in this pendant is the symbol for ancient wisdom.
The six-ponted star is built from two triangles; one pointing up, the other pointing down. As the triangle represents the balace of mind, body and spirit ~ the six-pointed star shows mankind reaching up in mind, body and spirit, and the universe reaching down in mind, body and spirit. Where these two triangles overlap, a space is created where wisdom can exist.
This then is a wisdom far greater than our own earth-bound wisdom as this wisdom is being fed by the universe...

Silver pendant with astorite

In this pendant, the six-pointed star has been cut out underneath an Astorite stone. It is a special stone that only can be found in Colorado, and that because of its high metal-content seems to be sparkling at times ~ hence the name.
The Astorite and the six-pointed star that is cut out strengthen each others energy. The cirkel in which the stone is set symbolizes the perfection of the Highest energy.
This gives the pendant an energy of ancient wisdom that is perfect!
The pendant helps express wisdom ~ whether the information comes from inside of yourself, or is being given by the universe...

What makes Mystical Jewelry Different?

.
The short answer is: All Mystical Jewelry is created in meditation.
Through meditation I match the energies of the design to the energy of the person, and even the actual making of the piece I do while in meditation.

Of course there is a lot of communication too. This can take place in person or through email. And it is this phase of the process that gives me the opportunity to ‘tune in’ to the person, to sense how their energy moves and works. To ‘see’ how the energy of a Mystical Jewelry piece can assist and balance the person.

But even after this phase, when the designs are being converted into the actual piece of Mystical Jewelry, I do all the work in meditation.

Sometimes, while I am working on a specific piece, I sense that when I change something to the design it is going to work even better! This doesn’t mean that it is automatically ‘back to the drawing board’, more often than not an explanation by email or phone is enough to gain the ‘okay’ to move on...

It is also not uncommon to receive information for the person while working on the piece.
I perceive this as a communication with the stone, in which the stone tells me what I need to know to continue on the piece ~ or even some things that I may want to pass on together with the ultimate piece...

This makes every piece of Mystical Jewelry much more than a ring or a pendant ~ it ensures that each piece is matched to a specific energy.

This is also true for pieces that are bought out of my Mystical Jewelry collection.
To me it feels like those pieces are created for a specific person, matching an unique energy ~ I just may not have met that person yet...

The Designs

.
In order to match a piece of jewelry to a person I start with a design.

For this there are a number of questions I ask, like:
  • Is the piece of jewelry going to be a ring, a bracelet, a pendant, or a pin?
  • What stone would you want in your piece? And if you don’t know; what colors do appeal to you?
  • Do you have an idea as to what metal you want your piece to be made out of?
  • What energy do you want the piece to carry?

The next step is to send pictures of stones that can be used, usually through email. For instance like this numite stone:

After there is an agreement about the stone, I send several possible designs:

And finally I put together a quote for the desired design...

The piece that was intended with the stone and the designs above has not been finalized yet - so there are no symbols associated with it yet; no pendant for me to post here...

Working With Energies...

Everything has an energy. It is what makes some places feel really good to us, while other places may not quite feel as inviting ~ or even make us want to leave as quickly as we can...

The same is true for stones, for shapes and symbols, even for metals and wood. Each has its own energy. And in making jewelry I combine the specific energies of a stone and the metals ~ I add symbols and I create a shape so that the piece can come together in such a way that it is carrying a beautiful, balancing energy.

Here is an example:

The stone is a beautiful agate; its energy is one that brings the expression of the self from concept into physical reality. The pendant is diamond shaped, and the symbol cut out underneath the pendant is also a diamond. This reinforces the energy of creativity.
This pendant's energy will help expressing the self in a creative manner.
